    13:15-13:30    Introduction by Dr. Vincent Ribière – Managing Director of IKI-SEA

    13:30-14:15    Measuring the Unmeasurable by Khun Umyos Huvanandana – AREOPA
    Khun Umyos is a Strategic Alliance Managers at AREOPA. He is an accomplished banking executive who worked with international financial institutions.
    Khun Umyos will present the state of intangible asset development in Thailand. He will share AEROPA’s approach to valuing Intellectual Capital (IC) as well as the recently released Thai accounting standard TAS 51 (intellectual asset). Finally, he will explain why and how regulators should use IC in listed company reports.

    14:15-14:45    Intellectual Property Protection Strategy by Khun Siraprapha Rungpry – NIA
    Khun Siraprapha is a Project Manager in Intellectual Property Management (IPM) at the National Innovation Agency (NIA).
    A well organized IP protection plan will be useful as a tool to achieve maximum values from your intellectual assets, and therefore, cannot be taken lightly.  The topic will touch briefly on various types and scope of IP protection available.  Common mistakes and case studies will also be discussed.

    15:00-15:45    Intellectual Capital II: Experiments and Potentials. The case of Silpakorn University
    by Dr. Apiradee  Kasemsook and Dr. Pajaera Patanatabutr – Silapakorn University
    Dr. Apiradee Kasemsook is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture and Dr. Pajaera Patanathabutr is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Silapakorn University (SU).
    In 2008, SU launched a project aiming at evaluating the intangible assets of the university. The research focused on trying to develop measurement formulae to estimate capitals and financial values. The findings will be presented as well as a comparative analysis between various departments.
